Peril Mapping and Technology Offset (PEMTO)
PEMTO is our proprietary framework to analyze the impact of climate change and the benefit of investments in climate adaptation technologies at any specific location.
For each project our experienced team uses its PEMTO framework to estimate a score that translates the risks of climate perils into the economic growth from adoption of risk mitigation technologies.
At its core PEMTO involves three steps:
Peril Mapping. For any given geography and for the area of focus (eg. manufacturing, construction, etc.) PEMTO creates risk score from various climate perils to determine the most risks that need to be addressed
Technology Offset. For each of the climate perils given the risk score it analyzes the technology framework that is best suited to address these perils. As a part of this step the framework creates a ROI score for each technology.
Finally a strategy framework that estimates the economic growth impact over the next decade by the implementation of the technologies.
